According to various sources, more than 500 copies of the first Zodiac were produced in the 1960s, which served as a source of inspiration for us in designing the Zodiac Mechanical model. We wanted its use to evoke nostalgia and the timepiece itself to be as close to the original as possible, so we opted for strong accents on the dial. We replaced the Blonie logo, for the first time in our history, with the inscription “Zodiac”. It was made in a font stylized after the war original, as were the other markings on the dial. It also features distinctive lines crossing it, as well as numerical indexes, the appearance and placement of which correspond to the original. To add some modernity to the watch, the indexes and hands have been coated with fluorescent compound.

Nostalgia will also be felt when looking at the envelope of the Mechanical Zodiac. It has a classic look and a thin profile, and a keen eye will notice various types of finishes, including brushed sides, a sunburst cut on the barrel and the caseback, and high-gloss polished ears. The icing on the cake is the type of mechanism used. Responsible for the precision of the timepiece is the hand-wound Swiss Sellita caliber SW210, whose work we can observe through the screwed-in, glass lid. Elegance is also added to the watch by such details as the double convex sapphire glass, referring to the domed plexiglasses of the 1960s, as well as a high-quality calfskin strap.
