The 13 Eskadra Automatic is a unique aviation watch inspired by the birth of the Polish Air Force after 1918. This model is an original interpretation of the classic pilot's watch, designed with attention to historical details and contemporary functionality.
Limited to only 100 pieces, it is a collector's item for lovers of aviation, history, and high-quality watchmaking.
Historical inspiration
The design of the dial refers to the Benzin-Uhr fuel gauges used in German and Austrian aircraft during World War I. These aircraft, captured from the enemy, formed the core of the newly formed Polish Air Force. The distinctive graphics of the dial were often placed in the center of the cockpit or between machine guns, allowing the pilot to constantly monitor flight parameters.
Details that create the atmosphere
- Numbered indices and openwork hands are coated with an efficient luminescent compound in the color of aged tritium.
- The shape of the hands is inspired by the cutouts in the wings of aircraft from that period.
- The Vratislavia Conceptum logo has been specially restyled, with a retro font reminiscent of the signs, advertisements, and posters of the 1920s
The case has a contemporary universal size of 40 mm. It is made entirely of brushed stainless steel. The sapphire crystal has multi-layer anti-reflective coatings on both sides, ensuring excellent clarity and readability in all conditions. The watch crown is screw-down and has a special aviation-style onion shape. It is very comfortable to use.
The case back contains information about the case number (limited edition number) and a deeply engraved graphic designed by our collaborator, architect Piotr Trojniel, depicting a captured Fokker D.VIII fighter plane.
The strap supplied with the watch is hand-sewn in Europe from high-quality cowhide leather with so-called automatic telescopes that allow it to be quickly replaced with any other strap without the use of tools. You can quickly change the look of your watch whenever you want.
