Xicorr spark is our first watch inspired by aviation.

spark… spark… TS-11 Iskra…

PZL TS-11 Iskra is a modern Polish combat training aircraft. The prototype's first flight took place in 1960. Serial production lasted from 1963 to 1987, ending with the production of 424 copies of this source. Propulsion (since 1969) is provided by a single WSK SO-3 jet engine. The plane reaches a speed of 720 km/h and a range of up to 1,250 kilometers. The on-board armament consists of a 23 mm NS-23 or NR-23 cannon.

With the widespread introduction of Polish jet aircraft into aviation, it is necessary to build adequate training equipment. The WSK "PZL Mielec" plant was responsible for its development, and its designer was Tadeusz Sołtyk. The new aircraft is a successful design with unsatisfactory capabilities, comparable to those of the competition, and low operating costs. Many variants of this type exist in series production. The first series produced was the Iskra bis-A version, powered by the SO-1 engine. Soon later, the Iskra bis-B version will appear, a training and combat model using suspended devices. The Iskra R version, i.e. the maritime reconnaissance version, or the Iskra bis D version - training and combat version, are also in service. A civilian version without equipment was also created, called Iskra Jet. The military users of the TS-11 Iskra aircraft were Poland and India. The civilian version of the plane was delivered to, among others, the USA and Great Britain.

The direct inspiration for the clocks was the guide signal of one of the main on-board clocks. We were inspired by the layout of this device and the way it shows. Of course, Xicorr spark is our interpretation of this clock.
